Most compatiable Data/Charging Cables for your I-Devices?

aszune cable

One of my favourite cable died today and I took out one of my spare one to use, only to realise that it wasn't able to charge my iPad Mini 2, AGAIN.

My iPad Mini has been suffering from "Princess Syndrome" all these while. She is very picky about what cables works with her and often throw her "Not charging" tantrum!! We're all annoyed by it but can't do anything about it other than keep buying cables till we get something she fancy.

Well, I can't say I'm an expert at cables nor do I know how they really work, but I've my fair share of cable "trying" and will be able to share some cables that my Princess iPad Mini 2 is able to accept (plus their durability).

*Note: My family and I are all "rough" users. Tangling in bag and accidental tagging are all pretty common.

Remax Lesu Cable (Up to 1.3A)

This cable is pretty cheap when I got them online during a promotion. It cost about $2.00. Unfortunately, this is not compatible with my iPad Mini 2, it works with my iPad Mini 1 and iPhone 6 though. Cable comes with copper plating.

Remax Fast Data Cable (Up to 2.1A)

I love their design and the cable is of good quality, although they didn't last a long time too. These are slightly more expensive, costing around $2.50-3. The cable is made of TPE with oxygen-free copper plating.

Remax Safe Charge Speed Cable (Up to 1.2A)

The only reason why I got this cable is because its on sale. The rubber cable feels pretty flimsy and I find it really cheap looking. (Well, yes, it's really cheap... like $1 each) Erm, it didn't last long, not at all.

Remax Metal Cable (Supports up to 2.1A)

I love these cables, although they are pretty expensive. If my memory didn't fail me, they cost around $5-6. But they're built to last, you can tell by the quality of the cable! This cable is made of TPE and supports fast charge.

Aszune Cables

These were bought from Taobao and I don't really know which series the cables belong to, but they were all from the same brand, Aszune. I've a couple of cables from them and I'm pretty happy with them.

I love their Denim cable series, which is cheaper than the ones from Remax. And they work great!

However, the denim wrapping don't last, the stitches came off with just a few months of use. The cable is still working well and able to charge though.

WK Ultra Speed Data Cable (Up to 1.3A)

This is not my first time buying this cable. The previous one, the connecting point between the "case" and cable became loose and wires got exposed, surprisingly, it still works despite that. But it does look dangerous to continue using, so we disposed it. This PVC cable served diligently for at least 6 months.

Remax RC-116i Cable (Up to 2.4A)

I got these recently from Qoo10, buy 1 get 1 free hence $5.90 for 2! The packaging is very beautiful and looks good as a gift. The cable is made of PVC and feels solid. The connector and joins are also well protected with stress relief.

Well, that's pretty much all of the cables that I've tried up till now. (I do plan to get some Baseus 50cm cable next time... but just not now) If you ask me which cable is better, I actually prefers the Remax Metal Cable but it doesn't mean its the best. I just like its design more.

Anyway, I hope this post helps you in choosing charging cable for your I-devices!
